Find out how we can help you navigate environmental markets
The voluntary carbon market has never been short of data. But the context can often be lacking. While a retirement record tells you a tonne of CO2 has changed hands, it doesn't tell you whether a carbon credit buyer is scaling up or slowing down, or what else is happening in the market around that decision.
That's the gap our latest module, Market Dynamics, closes. We built it to answer the questions buyers, developers, and investors actually ask: who's active, what's moving, and where capital is flowing. Here's what's in it.
Buyer insights: a profile for every buyer in the market

Buyer insights is the core of Market Dynamics, and the piece we hear about most. It gives you a full profile for any of the 33,000+ organisations retiring credits in the VCM, built entirely from registry data.
For any buyer, you can see:
- Retirement history by project type, so you can spot whether they favour nature-based credits, engineered removals, or a mix.
- Quarterly retirement patterns, showing whether their activity is accelerating, steady, or tailing off.
- Credit vintage distributions, which flag whether a buyer prioritises recent vintages or holds a longer-dated portfolio.
- Financials and the proportion of spend allocated to credits, for a sense of scale relative to the rest of their business.
- Buying patterns across suppliers and geographies, useful for sizing up a prospect or benchmarking a sector before you enter it.
Supply, at a glance
Market Dynamics also gives you a detailed view of the supply side of the market. You can see issuance and retirement volumes over time and the commitment gap between them, which shows how much issued supply remains unretired at any point. Layer in vintage distribution across the market as a whole, and you get a quick read on where supply is aligned with demand.

Funding, at a glance
The third piece is funding data insights: a high-level view of where investment is landing across project types. This supports questions that used to take a week of manual digging: is capital moving toward removals or avoidance, and which project types are attracting the most investment right now?

Filter it your way
Every view in Market Dynamics can be filtered by project type, registry, vintage, and region, so whether you're tracking one buyer, one sector, or the whole market, you're looking at the slice that matters to you.
